Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Docenta (the "Service"), a platform that helps lesson businesses run scheduling, students, packages, and communications. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who can use Docenta
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. Docenta is built for business owners and their staff. Students and guardians may be given limited portal access by a business owner; that access is governed by these Terms and the owner's own practices.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you and your staff enter.
3. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the information you put into Docenta (student records, notes, schedules, and similar). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that information solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for having the right to collect and enter the information you provide, including information about students and guardians.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service to break the law or infringe others' rights.
- Do not upload malicious code or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Do not send communications that recipients have not agreed to receive.
- Do not use the Service to store data you are not authorized to hold.
5. AI features
Docenta uses AI to help set up your workspace and draft notes and reports. AI output can be inaccurate. Review anything generated before you rely on or send it. You are responsible for the content you approve and send.
6. Fees
During the current beta, the Service may be offered at no charge or at introductory pricing. If we introduce paid plans, we will give notice and you may choose whether to continue.
7. Service availability
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Docenta is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the three months before the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. On termination you may request an export of your data for a reasonable period, after which we may delete it.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will provide notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
